Recently, I have sold of Broadway, which has hit a long term downtrend. Of cos, I realized a loss on this counter. With the cash, I bought Kim Eng, whereby its weekly trend rebounded, and SMRT, whereby the long term moving average showed a beginning of an uptrend. Furthermore, I cost averaged GoldenAgri when it dropped below the average value. Also, I have bought STX PO @ 2.96 and Ho Plaza at 1.96 recently.
My current approach is to trade on longer time frames, ignoring the short term volatilities. I have tried this approach and it seemed to have failed because the counters I bought were not based on long term. I have still some remaining counters which are not bought at a long term perspective, and that includes, Tat Hong, RafflesMG, AsiaEnv, Boustead, ChinaFish, MDR. I will wait for the counter to settle down before cost averaging it.
MMP reit: Still holding and not intending to sell Tat Hong: Might consider topping up, though its going through bad spell at the moment Raffles MG: Holding it for considerable time Asia Env: Waiting to top up one last batch when the moving averages turn. Kim Eng: Might be selling it soon as moving averages have gone down. SMRT: So Boustead: Still holding China Fish: Still holding and might top up when moving averages turn. MDR: Its still there. haha Golden Agri: Share has split. Still holding though. STX PO: Long term trend break out Ho Plaza: Long term trend break out
P.S Recently I have not been able to update as frequently as I like. This is because of my final year project and my final exams. Furthermore, I'm still jobless. Seems like my goal seems to have distanced from me by the day.... but I shall not give up! |
