Bright closing to the quarter
As the quarter draws to a close, things seems to look brighter now.

Ascott, which was a moderately risky buy, was at 1.71 upon close from a buy price of 1.67.

ChinaAviation oil, which broke out, yet has little volatility, was at a price of 1.53, from a buy price of 1.15.

CDL HTrust, which was a moderately risk buy as well, was at 1.99 upon close from a buy price of 2.05.

Hobee, a buy at 1.87, is now trading at 2.26.

RafflesEducation, a buy at 2.34, is lingering around 2.31

Olam, a buy at 2.87, is now at 3.06. wonder if it will hit the previous high of 3.30 soon

GoldenAgri, a buy at 1.74, is now at 1.76. One of the unfazed stocks during the correction, it is now growing steadily.

Rotary, a buy at 0.925 after recent averaging, is now trading at a price of 0.93.

All seems well at the moment, but "everything is a lie until it is realized". So at the moment, all these paper profits have no bearings on me.

28th March Update
Mixed day today. While the overall market hits red, which is not surprising, my stocks in contrast are quite unaffected by them.

Plus:
ChinaAviationOil and Hobee surged today (both hitting the charts of top gainers),

Neutral:
Rotary, did not surge as anticipated.
RafflesEdu recovered to my price at $2.34.
GoldenAgri, Ascott are relatively stable.

Disappointment:
Olam was not even close to yesterday's high of $3.30. Although putting that aside, it is still a relatively stable stock.
The only disappointment has to be from CDL HTrust. It has been lagging for some time already.
My decision will depend on my analysis later at night, but i guess I will hold on longer, learning from the mistakes I made in the past of letting winners go too early.

26th March Update
Increased stakes in China Aviation Oil.

Since it scored a low risk rating in my calculation, I decided to increase stakes so that it holds a larger percentage in my portfolio.

Risk management is crucial and in this volatile period, what might go wrong, will go wrong

23rd March Updates
It has been an experience since the past few weeks. Sudden price slides, panic etc etc comes into picture. So much for trying to keep myself emotionally detached.

From the correction, i was a loser. I sold when there isn't a need to. KepT&T was the stock to be exact. BanyanTree was within my stop loss limit, so it's all within the plan even though it was a wrong choice to sell.

This week proves to be an ok week for me, with various mixed results.

Ascott, which I bought at $1.67 closes at $1.63.
- Rating: 6
- Need to be slightly cautious though

CDL HTrust, which I bought at $2.05 closes at $1.95
- Rating: 6
- Some of the indicators are at moderate level

ChinaAviationOil, which I bought at $1.15 closes at $1.34
- Rating: 8
- Strong breakout at my buying price and strong indicator support justifies a potential runner for the year

GoldenAgri, which I bought at $1.74 closes at $1.75
- Rating: 7
- This together with CAO, are the two stocks in my portfolio with the least risk.
- Slow but steady runner.

HoBee, which I bought at $1.86 closes at $1.94
- Rating: 8
- A healthy chart, with moderate risk rating.

Olam, which I bought at $2.87 closes at $3.02
- Rating: 8
- One of the higher risk rating stocks in my portfolio, along with RafflesEdu and Rotary

RafflesEdu, which I bought at $2.34 closes at $2.30
- Rating: 7
- It exhibits similar charting characteristics as Olam.

Rotary, which I bought at averaged $0.919 closes at $0.91
- Rating: 7
- Might not have movement anytime sooner.

Thats all for this week, and hope I have time to update next week. Academic exams and project deadlines are coming soon.. Another obstacle waiting to be beaten!

Genting Sales, Ascott buy
Hit my selling price. Sold @0.825. Incurred loss of -6.25%. Following a systematic approach sure is painful. Anyway test period is 1 year and I'm sure things will work out ok.

Bought Ascott as it passes my criteria. Middle risk rating of 4.

Bought@1.67.

18th March Update
Recent times have been turbulent. People all over the world are saying different things. Correction? Recession?

Personally, I don't really care that much. What I'm worried is for my family and friends who invests in stocks just like I do. On one hand, a bear run will definitely be good for my experience, albeit an expensive one.

Anyway, on a review on the past week, I realized that I have been too hasty to make investments. I tried to preempt it but obviously, it didn't turn out well. Rotary was one of them. Genting was another. Oh well.. we do learn from mistakes.

Something has been bugging me since NTS beta was up and running. How do I determine whether I should enter based on an existing trend? I personally feel that it doesn't matter but is that the case? Maybe I should buy on the fall when the holding criteria is still intact? Will I be averaging the losers then? Sighz.. my system is so damn raw. I once thought that I'm heading somewhere.. but seems like that isn't the case.

Tomorrow will be good day I suppose, although judging by local forums, they seems to be rather pessimistic about it. Good luck to the readers out there and all the best to your trades.

*Just updated my fund price etc. Gosh.. what a terrible returns. 11% since last August. STI moved 25% since last August. It just says that I still a raw prick when it comes to investing. My target of 25%APR now seems so far away..

Beta version done
Yup.. it's now done.. and I call this the
*drum roll*
NTS.. which is.. Nenix Trading System.. haha..

currently its the beta version and its a bit unpolished. Due to school work and projects,
I could only do bit by bit. Coding it is not easy, and documentation is tough as well. But good things need to be worked for.. I am no trying to adjust a system whereby I would not have to make trades during the day unless due to emergency cases. This is so that in the future, if I can't work out as a trader, or private banker, or investment banker, I could use this rather autopilot system.

Haha.. of cos, this system is proprietary stuff and theres no chance of me revealing it. Hope it works well man..

Trading Systems
To reiterate what happened in the correction, I realized that there are several pressing issues I need to address.

1) Entry Point
- Which to trade?
- What criteria?
- Which takes priority over selection?

2) Position size
- How much to hold?

3) Stop loss strategy
- When it triggers?

4) Exit strategy
- When to exit a winning position?

5) Risk management
- Controlling loss

6) Stronger mentality
- I knew it was never right to check the quotes during the day
- I always knew that trading during the day, other than those that hit the stop loss, is wrong.
- I always understand that intra-day noises should not affect my positions.
- I always understand that to win, one must accept losses.
- I always understand that this is long term investment and should never compare myself with peers with better returns.

.....but yet I repeat my offenses again and again...

To prevent this from happening, I have decided to codify my rules. Position sizes and test criteria will be mechanized. Exit and stop loss strategy will be mechanized. Rules will be placed to govern my actions. No emotions should be attached to the system. No fear, no greed.

In fact, I am in development for the system at the moment. After going through bull and correction, I have a good feel of how to react...

Wish me luck in successful development..

After the shakeup
Well, shares were cleared as they hit my stop loss.
Yesterday, I bought 3 shares. As they still showed good technical indicators.

Rebought KepT&T @2.02. (If there is regret, it would be the fact that my system check didnt cater for the such dips)

Bought BanyanTree @1.87
Bought NobleGroup @1.43
